Cucurbit Genetics Cooperative is for researchers interested in genetics and breeding of economically important cucurbits. It includes gene lists and gene nomenclature and plans to archive online all back issues of The Vegetable Improvement Newsletter (1959–1982) and the CGC Report (1978–present).

NewCROP, the New Crop Resource Online Program, Indiana Center for New Crops & Plant Products at the Department of Horticulture, Purdue University, profiles numerous major and specialty crops throughout the world along with their researchers in an indexed, searchable database format.

Cooperative Extension Services

These partnerships between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state and local governments, along with private industry, have Web sites at land grant universities. They provide a wealth of research-based, objective horticultural information on a regional basis, but information for wider audiences may be found here as well.
